Founded in 1976, the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) 5k offers something for both competitive and casual runners alike. You have lots of 5ks to choose from but the Susan B. has something for all runners and walkers whether you are looking to run your first 5k or you are trying to achieve a PR.

Are looking for a fast and accurate 5k? We’ve got that. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned has long straight-aways and only a few turns which allows for fast times.

Are you looking for your first 5k or have the goal of just enjoying your experience? We’ve got that too! The race starts and finishes at Glenn Hall Park adjacent to the American River and the course winds through the shaded River Park neighborhood.

All runners will appreciate a hassle free race day experience that comes with a race that usually attracts around 600 runners. A smaller event means easy parking, the shortest porta-potty lines of any race in town, and plenty of post race goodies. Everyone will love the great goodie bag and tech shirt that you can run in for years to come.

The Susan B. even has something for the kids. The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Kids’ 1/2 Miler is one of the few free kids’ races in the area. Kids can run alone or be escorted by their parents and then enjoy a ribbon, a treat, and the jumpy house.
