Fourth of July 5-miler

4th of July 5-Miler Start Line

This 5-mile run/walk is the oldest running event in the city. It appeals to competitive and casual runners as well as walkers. Join us to honor the 4th of July national holiday and to enjoy the companionship of fellow runners and walkers. Bring your kids for a non-competitive 1/2 mile kids fun run before the general start.

This race is untimed and free for all participants. Registration is not necessary, but we require signing our liability waiver. Please do this online before the race by clicking here.

While the event is free, donations to the American River Parkway Foundation and WEAVE (Women Escaping A Violent Environment) are strongly encouraged. You will find donation boxes at the check-in table on race day. Both cash and check payments will be accepted. A minimum donation of $10 is suggested.

You can also donate online to the American River Parkway Foundation here or to WEAVE here.
