Fourth of July 5-Miler

4th of July 5-Miler Start Line

This 5-mile run/walk is the oldest running event in the city. It appeals to competitive and casual runners as well as walkers. Join us to honor the 4th of July national holiday and to enjoy the companionship of fellow runners and walkers. Bring your kids for a non-competitive 1/2 mile kids fun run before the general start.

This race is untimed (a race clock will be placed at the finish line, though) and FREE for all participants. Register by filling out our liability waiver online. All registrants are entered into a drawing for door prizes. Avoid lines on race day, do this online before the race by clicking here.

While the event is free, donations to the American River Parkway Foundation or WEAVE are strongly encouraged. You will find a donation box at the information tables on race day. Both cash and check payments will be accepted. A minimum donation of $10 is suggested.

You can also donate* online to the American River Parkway Foundation here and to WEAVE here
*Donations to these non-profit organizations may be tax deductible.
