The 40th Anniversary Buffalo Stampede will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2015.
About the Buffalo Stampede:
The Buffalo Stampede 10-Mile Run/Walk, the race that kicked off Sacramento’s road-racing tradition, turns FORTY this year! We are celebrating with music, special prizes, finisher medals, and the commemorative 40th annual shirt! The certified and scenic course is part of the Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series and offers a $200 bonus prize for breaking the course records. As the sister race to the Urban Cow Half Marathon, the Buffalo Stampede is the perfect training distance for this great event, and for your other fall half-marathons. This year we are doing a raffle that includes many great prizes such as free entries into the Urban Cow Half Marathon, the California International Marathon Relay, the 2015 Sactown 10 Mile Race, and an entry into the coveted Fleet Feet Shamrock’n training group. So don’t miss out! Our race benefits Rio Americano athletic programs, Rio Americano High School Marching Band, the Youth Chips, and Fit for Girls, the Sacramento not-for-profit that leads middle-school girls to believe in themselves through running, fitness, and friendships. It is one of the four events the Buffalo Chips Running Club sponsors each year, including the Free Fourth of July Five Mile Run in River Park, to encourage health and fitness in the community, and celebrate runners and walkers of all ages and levels.
Congratulations to all of our runners!
