Minutes

 

Present:  John Blue, Tony Smith, Eric Johnson, Jenny Hitchings, Dennis Scott, Ed Randolph, George Paddeck, Merie Paddeck, Chadd Baltzley, Ann Gerhardt, Abe Underwood, Vicky Boyd, Johanne Christmas, Jennifer Rousseve

Called to Order 7:33 pm.

 

  1. Treasurer:: 
    1. Down $7k so far due to lack of revenue until SBA & BS, mostly due to printing.
    2. Updated check request form
  2. Membership
    1. Discussion of motion to do new dues due date, er, due date for dues.  Dues would be do 1st of year, with a Nov/December grace period
    2. John moved, Ed seconded. Unanimous vote
    3. As is our wont, there was then Further Discussion.
  3. Race walkers
    1. Can they get race jackets also?
    2. Ann suggested 4 races annually out of seven, since there are fewer race walk races. Can revisit criteria if races are added/subtracted.
  4. Buffalo Stampede
    1. 5,000 save the date cards have been printed
    2. Prize this year will be embroidered blankets.  Linus would be happy!
  5. Apparel
    1. All applications for apparel must be okayed by standards guru
    2. Discussion of:

                                                               i.      What is the statute of limitations on applying for apparel? Settled on 12 months after event

                                                             ii.      Can one get multiple incentives?

  1. Donation for McClatchy
    1. George moves we donate $250 to Track-a-thon
    2. Ed seconded, unanimous approval
  2. Other issues
    1. George updated on the youth program in Lincoln
    2. George gave plaudits to the Buffalo Babes for dominating the universe of track
