Minutes

 

Present:  John Blue, Tony Smith,  Eric Johnson, Jenny Hitchings, Dennis Scott

Not present:  Everyone else

 

Called to Order 7:33 pm.

 

  1. Treasurer update—discussion of some tax issues
  2. Membership
    1. Chips are getting 3-5 new members per month, which is a bit slow
    2. Discussion of possibly recruiting coach for shorter distances
  3. Technology committee:  computer purchase tabled for now.
  4. Upcoming races

                                                               i.      July 4th race

1.      Ed R. is taking care of shepherding permits

2.      Other orgs may split costs with us

3.      Recruiting runners not a high priority, since it is a free race

                                                             ii.      Buffalo Stampede:  Kids as race organizers are doing a good job

                                                            iii.      Jed Smith:  ads will run in appropriate magazines

    1. July 3 meeting postponed to July 10
    2. Possibility of using Café Press as item vendor to reduce inventory on hand
